Look to Windward- Sleep Token

Aaaaaannndddd we’re back, baby!

It’s been almost a year since I last posted a blog post, just 4 months shy of it, in fact. A lot of things have happened in the last eight months but, in many ways, it feels like not much time has passed. My last post was about Trump being crowned the world’s shittiest king, but I’ve been beaten to death by every exasperating news story I see weekly about that fuckass chimp that I don’t want to talk about it here.

Let’s talk about progress, instead.

My mental health has been a trash pit lately, but, yanno….that’s to be expected. I took some time off writing but, like the flu season, I keep coming back to it. I’ve been hard at work on Ghosts, book 2 of the Hunters series. Jesse and Warrick are shaping up to be two of my favorite characters, and Jesse’s story is a good one, in my humble opinion. I have probably two chapters or so left before Ghosts is done, then I’ll be moving on to beta readers, heavy editing, ARCs, and the eventual release. I hope to have it published by the end of the year, but I’m not pressuring myself to get it out before then. I’m planning a giveaway for the release date and will choose a few lucky winners to get free copies of Scars, and limited physical copies of two short stories I’m working on that will be from Scarlet and Araya’s point of view.

I’m also going to be re-editing Bound by Blood with plans to find some ARC readers and do a release for that. The book is done and has been edited once, but I tend to second-guess myself and, while I don’t need it to be perfect, I want it to still be good. Of course, I actually need to market the damn thing and plan on having some character art done. I would also like to have more bookmarks made, maybe some stickers. Little freebies I could send out in book boxes.

Who would I be if I wasn’t constantly stressing myself out with multiple projects at once? I’ve decided to finish a long project I stopped working on a few years ago, a fantasy novel called Child of the Siren. The book is just a few chapters short of being done, and will require some heavy editing, but I love the story and have high hopes for it.

Book three of the Hunters series is already in the works, titled Teeth, and is a story about a Hunter who has been possessed by a Hollowed, turning them into a sort of pseudo-Ghoul. This book is going to be more dark romance than anything else I’ve written before, with themes of stalking, vore, cannibalism, casual murder, and obsession-turned-love. All the good things you want in a dark romance…I think….

I have also started a fantasy project that I don’t have a name for yet, but world-building is in progress, with a dedicated, unique calendar, deep history, convoluted family tree, fantasy map, and even a complicated ass magic system. Gods, I love fantasy shit.

In short, these are all the things in the works currently. I hope you’ll continue to support me in my endeavors and look forward to the release of all of my ambitious plans.
